Methodology
Immunoturbidometry: This test measures the concentration of Ceruloplasmin in a serum sample using the Immunoturbidometry method. In this technique, specific antibodies are added to the patient's serum, causing the ceruloplasmin molecules to agglutinate and form immune complexes. The resulting turbidity (cloudiness) of the solution is measured by passing a light beam through it. The amount of light scattered or absorbed is directly proportional to the concentration of ceruloplasmin in the sample, providing an accurate and quantitative result.
